Canterbury Book an MOT

MOTAt KAP Canterbury, our team of VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) approved testers, will assess your vehicle to make sure it meets the safety and emissions standards set by the ministry of transport.

The MoT Test comes into force if your vehicle is over 3 years old and consists of a full inspection, inside and out. As the test is performed by one of our KAP Canterbury team, the vehicle will have to meet a series of checks and if successful, will receive a VT20- pass certificate. If the vehicle does not meet the checks, then a VT30 failure certificate is issued. Problems that have been found which are not serious enough to fail the vehicle but which are important to note, are listed under “advisory”.

It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to ensure that the MoT test is performed annually. Failure to do this is breaking the law and a fine could be issued. A vehicle which does not have a valid MoT certificate which is also involved in an accident, may affect any insurance claims made by you, espeically in the case of injury.

When taking your vehicle for its MoT, please ensure that you bring the V5 document and sufficient payment.
